Automakers top world’s greenest brands study
Toyota, Ford, and Honda are the world’s top three green brands, according to a survey conducted by Interbrand, a marketing consulting firm.
The 2013 Greenest global brands study features five automotive brands among its top ten, including Nissan, which jumped from 21 last year to 5 in the current study, and Volkswagen in 6th place.
Emma Hrustic, Interbrand’s Global Director of Brand Intelligence, commented: “These perceptions are formed not just on the environmental value of their products, but also on the basis of how good a job the company does in communicating its commitment to sustainability”.
The study collects consumer responses from markets around the world such as Brazil, Germany and Russia.
