Auto trader to cease print publication in move to digital only business

Auto trader magazine will publish its last print edition in June 2013, following a strategic move to become a digital only business.

Trader Media Group discontinued Bike trader in late 2012 and its B2B Dealer Update earlier this year. Auto Trader moves to digital, following a steep decline in circulation from a peak of 368,000 in January 2000 to 27,000 in March 2013. At the same time, Auto Trader website attracts 11 million unique visitors every month.

The magazine ceases its publication after over 35 years in the market.
